Winner: Vickie Verrelli – Kitty Getlik surprised long-time usher Vickie Verrelli with the very first Volunteer of the Year Award given out at The Kelsey Awards!

Scene 4/5/6 – The 2014 Kelsey Theatre Lifetime Achievement Award: Presented to John M. Maurer
Diana Maurer entered the stage and highlighted John M. Maurer’s incredible journey and influence inside The Kelsey Theatre over the years. An eternally grateful John accepted his award, and before he could leave, Diana surprised him by reuniting the entire 2006 cast You’re a Good Man Charlie, Brown – which is the first musical John directed inside The Kelsey Theatre.
The cast, which performed the opening number and the closing number of the musical, featured John Zimmerman, Stephanie Zimmerman, Michael Schiumo, Michaela Tomcho, John Boccanfuso, and Kyrus Keenan Westcott.
Scene 7 – Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Play and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical

In one the most memorable highlights of the evening, #MiniJMK presented these awards. Playing the roles of Mini-JMK were Abigail Bastian, Elizabeth Ferrara, and Charlotte Gougher.

The full cast of Shrek the Musical (Maurer Productions OnStage) reunited to perform “I Know It’s Today” and “Freak Flag” … well, of course, Farquaad had to put his two cents in as well.
Scene 10 – Production Company of the Year
This award was presented by the star of last season’s The Miracle Worker and the director of next season’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Morgan O’Neil Petronis and Jennifer Nasta Zefutie.

Scene 11 – The 2014-2015 Kelsey Theatre Season (ft. Kyrus Keenan Westcott)

Scene 12 – Outsanding Lead Actress in a Play and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical

Scene 16 – Outstanding Production of a Musical
Jaimie McMillin: (introducing the next presenter): “Please welcome to the stage, the future mayor of Hamilton Township, New Jersey, Kyrus Keenan Westcott!”
Kyrus, the writer, director, and producer of The 2014 Kelsey Awards, entered the stage and thanked his production staff, the audience, the performers, and the voters. He told the story as to how The Kelsey Awards came to fruition back in 2009, and how it has grown into a virtual sell-out inside the theater.
He also awarded the 50/50 raffle, where the prize was $200. Molly Karlin, a 2014 Kelsey Award nominee, won the 50/50 raffle and the $200.
