Meet the Cast of Playful Theatre Production’s ‘CATS’! (UPDATED: 01/05/15)

Playful Theatre Productions is bringin one of the longest running Broadway shows to Kelsey Theatre! And they want you to meet the cast and creative team behind the musical that already has Kelsey audiences buzzing.

After an intense casting process, the folks over at Playful Theatre productions are excited to announce the talented performers who will be transporting audiences into one of the most memorable worlds in theater history.

After choreographing and directing shows in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Dani Tucci-Juraga, a two-time Kelsey Award winner for Best Choreographer, will be making her Kelsey Theatre directorial debut with CATS. The team will be anchored by the production company that brought you last season’s epic award winning production of Les Miserables and this season’s rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

In addition to Dani taking the reigns as director/choreographer, the show will be musically directed by Kelsey Award winner Laurie Gougher, with lighting and sound design by Kelsey Award winner Robert Terrano, and costuming by Kelsey Award winner Kate Pinner. The set will be built and designed by Jim Petro and Kresimir Juraga.

The show is produced by Suzanne Smith and Hilary Leboff, with stage management by Nancy Russell and Ruth Kresge, set design by James Petro, and Kat Ross Kline serving as assistant to the director.

There is no better way to introduce your family to the wonders of live theater than with the magic, mystery and memory of CATS. This epic presentation of this musical phenomenon is based on T.S. Eliot’s classic collection of children’s verses, and transports the audience into a stunning fantasy world.
