This is a non-union, non-paid production.

About the Show

In Measure for Measure, Shakespeare explores the dearly-held Renaissance concept
of Order. Vienna is in disarray, both in governmental and personal matters, especially in regard to morality and sexual behavior. The Duke, unwilling to lead a reform effort, brings on Angelo, “a man of stricture and firm abstinence” to do the job. Conflict results. Serious matters must be resolved to be sure, but, since the play is a comedy, Shakespeare provides hilarious comic characters and a “happy” ending, with certain complications.
