Forté Dramatic Productions Announce Cast of “The Boy From Oz”

Forté Dramatic Productions is set to take The Kelsey Theatre by storm this spring with their highly anticipated production of “The Boy From Oz”. After great nights of auditions, the production company has announced their cast! Check it out!

The company wrote, “Thank you to everyone who came out to audition for The Boy From Oz. After careful thought and deliberation, we are thrilled to announce our cast of principles for our upcoming production at The Kelsey Theatre.”

  • Dick Woolnough – Frank Ferrara*
  • Dee Anthony – Peter Sauer
  • Young Peter – Teddy Brendel

Forte continued, “Stay tuned for an announcement on both our vocal and dance ensembles, each of which feature some of the most talented singers and dancers working in community theater.”

This sensational musical tells the exuberant, heart-warming true story of singer/songwriter Peter Allen, whose young life is marred by an abusive father, but whose will to perform proves stronger. Through sheer talent and some luck, Allen ends up in the glamorous orbit of Judy Garland and her soon-to-be-famous daughter, Liza. Forte Dramatic Productions in association with Pierrot Productions brings us a musical tale filled with hits like “Don’t Cry Out Loud,” “Love Don’t Need a Reason,” “Everything Old is New Again” and “I Go to Rio.”

This production of The Boy From Oz will be directed by John Zimmerman*, choreographed by Koren Zander*, and musically directed by Aimee Jeanne.

This production runs May 12-23, 2017 inside The Kelsey Theatre. Tickets are now on sale.
