Andrew Ruggieri is one of New Jersey’s most popular and talented male performers, and he finally made his Kelsey Theatre debut this season as Peter Allen in “The Boy From Oz”. This role won the hearts of critics and voters, and now he’s a Kelsey Awards nominee.
How do you like working at The Kelsey Theatre?
ANDREW: It was a blast working at the Kelsey.
What is your favorite Kelsey Theatre memory?
ANDREW: Working with the amazing cast of “The Boy from Oz”!
What is your most embarrassing moment on or off stage that’s theater-related?
ANDREW: I ripped my pants mid show during “The Boy from Oz” and had to finish the number with a huge hole in my crotch!! And the rip was so loud that I’m pretty sure the last row heard them split!
If there’s one person at The Kelsey Theatre you’ve been wanting to work with, but never had the opportunity, who is it and why?
ANDREW: Koren Zander!! He is a fantastic choreographer.
What is your dream show that you’d like to work on?
ANDREW: “An American in Paris” and “Jersey Boys” but mostly “An American in Paris”!!
