Meet the Cast of PARADE

Playful Theatre Productions has announced the cast and creative team for their 2020 production of PARADE at The Kelsey Theatre! Let’s meet the artists!

The musical tells the true story of Lucille and Leo Frank, a young Jewish couple living in 1913 Atlanta, where the Brooklyn-born Leo manages a pencil factory. Their decorous and passionless lives are disrupted when Leo finds himself accused of a horrific crime. In their retelling of the events that follow, Brown and Uhry explore the consequences – both obvious and subtle – of fear, prejudice, and assumption, the ability to find human decency in surprising places, and above all, the depth and strength hidden inside a single, seemingly unremarkable marriage.

The original Broadway production of Parade was recognized with Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Book, along with seven additional nominations (including nominations for Brent Carver as Leo Frank and Carolee Carmello as Lucille Frank). The Playful production will mark Parade’s area debut.

The production is set to run March 27, 2020 through April 5, 2020 inside The Kelsey Theatre.
